Email your completed Application Form and scans of the required documents as explained in the Guidelines to applications@aims.org.au

If you have completed an Australian tertiary qualification please also process your My eQuals or USI requirements so that we can verify your Australian academic transcripts online.

If you have completed an overseas tertiary qualification ensure your tertiary education institution has sent a copy of your official academic transcript to AIMS in a sealed envelope. If your institution has given you the sealed envelope then you must post it or courier it to AIMS.

AIMS will automatically send you a confirmation email when your Application Form and supporting documents email arrives at applications@aims.org.au.

AIMS email you a unique lodgement reference number within (10) business days of receiving your application and supporting documents.

Your Application Form and supporting documents will be reviewed and you will be emailed and allowed to rectify any missing information and/or supporting documents.

AIMS will verify your credentials. AIMS will contact you if we are unable to verify your identity, English proficiency, employment, education, or registration/licensing (and the accompanying supporting documents), and allow you to rectify any issues.

If AIMS suspects a fraudulent claim has been made we will notify you and the Department of Home Affairs.

The AIMS National Office will process the application fee to the credit or debit card details provided on your application form. Online payments are currently not being accepted.

You will receive an email containing your AIMS Assessment ID.

Your Application Form and supporting documents will be sent to the AIMS Assessment Committee for processing.

After the AIMS Assessment Committee completes their assessment, your assessment results are sent to the AIMS Ratification Committee (this committee is comprised of senior AIMS representatives).

Your Skills Assessment Results Letter is written, reviewed, and signed by the AIMS Chief Executive Officer.

If you are assessed as eligible for the AIMS Medical Laboratory Scientist Professional Examination or Special Professional Examination, you will also receive a Professional Examination Invitation Letter and a Professional Examination Application Form.

The AIMS National Office will email your Skills Assessment Results Letter to the email address you provided on your Application Form. If you have an agent or representative they will be copied into the email.
